We are honoured by the generous support of Agnes and Beny Steinmetz foundation.
“The only thing a child needs is for one adult to believe in them” said Shlomo Carlebach, known as Reb Shlomo, an Israeli religious teacher, spiritual leader, composer, and singer called “the singing rabbi” during his lifetime. This notion seems to be a compass for Beny and Agnes Steinmetz’s actions, whose charity work has always been focused on earnestly supporting and providing for children in need. Together with his wife, Agnes, Beny Steinmetz established in 2006 The Agnes and Beny Steinmetz Foundation, as a means of best implementing their efforts to do good. The Agnes and Beny Steinmetz Foundation is one of the largest and most active charitable organizations in Israel, with international recognition that works to make a positive impact on different parts of Israeli society, specifically within the spheres of education, culture, health, and social welfare, focusing on underprivileged children and young people. Specifically, the foundation ensures that local authorities are able to provide early childhood education services and supports organizations that use unique tools to help young people at risk. As Beny Steinmetz has previously mentioned, “what is truly important is that we are doing something effective and contributing to society, something with an actual, tangible impact.” To date, the Foundation has supported tens of thousands of children, young people and families of different nationalities and religions, through the programs and scholarships it provides, and has become a point of reference for Israeli NGOs.
